The State of California has identified content standards in the core curricular areas of English / Language Arts, mathematics, science, and history / social science. These standards represent all of the skills and concepts that are taught at each grade level, and they are the focus of our curriculum.
Glendale Unified School District has identified the "most essential standards" in English / Language Arts and mathematics. These "essential standards" are emphasized and taught to a greater depth. Students needs to master these to be successful at the next grade level.
